Let's Go Celtics!

This is an exciting time in my house right now because the Boston Celtics are in the Play Offs.
Because Ike is a huge fan and Jackson is a tiny clone of Ike, I have two very excited Celtics watching guys in my house. Of course, they have to wear their jerseys whenever they watch a game together.
Jackson usually wants to wear his jersey and shorts over his PJ's when he goes to bed on game nights as well.
Let's go Celtics!

The Carrs Go Camping!

Since school got out last Friday, Ike and I decided it would be fun to do something to celebrate. Our first thought was to drive to Ohio and stay with my family for a week but because I have so many Dr.'s appointments and because I am so close to the end of my pregnancy we decided a camping trip might be a little safer. We have never gone camping before but I feel like this trip was a success. The biggest lesson learned: BUY AN AIR MATTRESS. This may not have been the biggest deal except trying to get comfortable on the ground when you are 8 months pregnant is not easy. We will have to go camping again when I'm not pregnant and see how well I sleep. This trip unfortunately earned the "Worst Night Sleep of the Year" award. Still totally worth it though. I can't wait to go again.
We fit Jackson's toddler bed mattress perfectly in the tent. He slept great. Ike and I, not so much.
I think my favorite part of camping is waking up in the morning when it is chilly and making a fire then eating breakfast. I really love it.

Stressed?

So because we have hit a few bumps in this pregnancy, my Dr. has been making me have weekly Non-Stress Tests. Basically they hook me up to three different machines for 20 minutes to an hour and monitor the baby. I have been doing this for a few weeks now and realized I need to document this for future generations. Today I had Ike bring the camera along.
Ok so they really aren't as exciting as this picture makes it look but with Ike and Jackson in the room with me, the time goes by pretty fast. Also, did I mention that I am 35 weeks on Monday and if I were to have this baby a week early (Like I did with Jackson.) than I could be delivering in almost exactly 1 month. Crazy!!!

Last Day of Students!!!

I can't technically say that today is Ike's last day of school because he still has to go for the rest of the week to finish some semester testing and clean out his room but today is officially the last day of teaching students! I can't believe this school year has gone by so fast! This is Ike leaving the house on his FIRST day of school!
Jackson has also grown up so much since we moved here. He could barely reach our front door and wasn't a very good walker. Now he is a little man! And it has not even been a year.
These were taken our first weekend in Fullerton at the 4th of July Celebrations. This year on the 4th of July we will be celebrating with a new baby. Time flies.

4 Years of Photos.

I am still having a hard time believing that in a few months Ike and I will be celebrating our 4 year anniversary. I don't feel like we have been married that long! Here are our family photos from the last four years. 2008

A Glimpse at Brady...

So I had my last appointment with the Perinatal Specialist, Dr. Fowley, in Omaha today and I am still good to deliver locally! So nice considering Omaha is a two hour drive for us and I did not want to deliver there. This ultrasound was just like my others except that they did something SO INCREDIBLY COOL!!!! They took a 3D picture of the baby's face!!! Actually they took like 5 of them but this one is the one that turned out the least blurry. So now without further delay, I present a glimpse at baby Brady:
Look at those cheeks!!! This was definitely the highlight of my day! The crazy thing is that they took all his measurements and he weighs around 5lbs, 9oz which is fine except that I still have 7 weeks to go!!! Am I going to give birth to a mammoth sized baby...(The cheeks say yes.) or am I going to deliver two weeks early??? We will have to wait and see!

Little by Little...

...Our house will not be so ugly. This summer we will be starting a series of home improvement projects on the outside of our house. Our house is cute in a shabby paint peeling kind of way but I would really like it to be a lot more presentable, especially since we will be having a lot of family coming through. You may ask, "Carr family, why are you doing these things when you rent??? Shouldn't your landlords be doing this???". Well they can but they are gone all summer(literally) and they offered to cut a lot of money off our rent if we did these projects ourselves. We are not exactly the kind of people to turn down a smaller rent for a little sweat and elbow grease. So, kicking off the Summer Spruce Up, I put some flowers on our front porch. Not huge I know. But it really does make a cute difference.
Don't Touch!!!!

Pictures that make me happy.

My Primary Kids. I feel this picture is an accurate description of them.
It seems like Jackson always falls asleep on Ike and then Ike falls asleep too. I guess I just have a bunch of tired guys in my house.
When I said "Smile!" for this picture, he immediately folded his arms and wiped the smile off his face. He is perfect for every photographer but me!
This picture was taken in Finland on the Europe trip my family took last summer. I was just thinking about this moment this morning and I decided that sitting on that dock waiting for the ferry to take us back was possibly my favorite moment of the trip.
