...and the winner is....NEBRASKA!

So the verdict is in and the Carrs are officially moving to Nebraska! We got a job with Fullerton Public Schools in Fullerton, NE. The town of Fullerton is really small but really cute! We drove out this week to see the school and the town. I realized on the way back why will absolutely never never NEVER live in Wyoming. We ended up getting stranded for two nights there because of snow storms. The first night we actually slept in the cab of two truckers who took pity on us after we got stranded at a rest area when I-80 was closed!

This is what the weather looked like when we got to the rest area.

Ike outside of the rest area where we stayed the night.

Inside the truck that we slept in!

Me inside the truck.

This was our view from outside our window in the cheap and somewhat scary Motel we stayed in our second night in Wyoming. The town of Wampsutter consists of a gas station and two motels, both of which were kind of gross looking.

Bathroom of the scary Motel.

So overall the trip that only should have taken two days ended up taking four. When we got home though we had a message on our answering machine from the Principal of the school and when Ike called him back he got offered the job. Opposition in all things right? We will probably move in July and school will start in August. I am more excited than I can really put into words.

Have I mentioned recently how awesome my family is? They are awesome.

  1. Congrats April! That is so exciting. Umm that bathroom is too disgusting for words, and sleeping in a truck sounds like quite an adventure. I agree that Wyoming is not the place for me either.
